Emmerdale's Beth Cordingly praises on-screen son Lewis Cope after he was confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
The actress made her debut on the Yorkshire-based soap last year as she took on the role of Ruby Miligan. Known for her fiery attitude when she first arrived in the Dales, viewers got to know the real Ruby as devastating scenes aired.
Upon the arrival of her estranged father Anthony Fox, flashbacks showed that he had abused her repeatedly when she was younger, and also ended up fathering her daughter Steph.
Before the harrowing scenes, Ruby did have a time of playing happy families when son Nicky Miligan was also in the ITV soap.
Nicky, played by Lewis Cope, was first introduced to Emmerdale in December 2022, while Suni, played by Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana, made his debut in July 2023.
The two actors quit the ITV soap earlier this year, and their final scenes aired over the summer as they left the village for new pastures.

Now, the actor has been confirmed as the final celebrity to complete the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 line-up.
Game of Thrones actor and DJ Kristian Nairn was originally supposed to take part but withdrew from the new series for medical reasons.
He shared: "With a heavy heart, I have to step back from this season of Strictly Come Dancing due to unexpected medical reasons. I was truly looking forward to the journey, and Im deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor.
"Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian."
Lewis was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the 2023 National Television Awards for the role. Upon joining Strictly, he said: I'm so excited to be swapping the Dales for the dance floor and joining this year's Strictly Come Dancing. I've always been a fan of the show and cannot wait to get started!"

His Emmerdale co-stars were quick to praise him. including Beth who wrote: Our gorgeous @lewiscope is on @bbcstrictly !! He'll smash this".
Underneath Strictly's official announcement on Instagram, Beth added: "YASSSSSSSSSS. AMAZING! Here we go!!!!!!" as Danny Miller echoed: "Wowwwwwww".
Mike Parr also penned: "Yeah boi" as Lewis wrote: "Thank you everyone! I am super excited, let's do it".
