The business owner shares the two teens with her Coldplay frontman ex-husband Chris Martin , 47, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2016. Gwyneth is now married to Brad Falchuck , while Chris dated actress Dakota Johnson from 2017 to 2025.
Gwyneth and Chris, who famously consciously uncoupled in 2016, have also found a way to consciously co-parent. Speaking at the #BlogHer15 conference in 2018, Gwyneth said she is very lucky to have a partner who is willing to help take care of their family with a collaborative sensibility. Im really for Chris and hes really for me and our children are our priority, the Iron Man actress stated.

Apple Martin
Gwyneth and Chris firstborn Apple came into the world on May 14, 2004, with an original celebrity baby name that made headlines. The now-19-year-old is just as gorgeous as her parents and is Gwyneths look-a-like. She is also very much a teenager, poking fun of mom when she gets the chance.
Early in the pandemic in 2020, for instance, Apple shared a playful interpretation of her moms quarantine to-do list by making fun of some of Goops head-turning products, such as vaginal eggs and vagina-scented candles. In a notebook that Gwyneth shared on Instagram, Apple wrote, Make more vagina eggs & candles. Accepting the roast in the caption, Gwyneth wrote, Apples interpretation of my to-do list #quaranteen. The teen also poked fun of her famous mother in April on TikTok, saying her moms morning routine consisted of making some more vagina eggs and candles, also vagina candles, and vagina perfumes, and just everything vagina.
Even with Apples hilarious takes, Gwyn loves her unconditionally, which she has shown time and time again. For instance, the A Perfect Murder actress gushed about watching Apple grow up in a 2020 post to Instagram to celebrate her 16th birthday. You are wickedly intelligent and you have the best, most dry, most brilliant sense of humor, Gwyn wrote. I have the best time being your mom. I love our nightly evening chats when I really get to hear whats on your mind. You work hard to get whatever it is you want to achieve, and you have grit and responsibility in spades.
She went on, I am so damn lucky to be your mother, you beautiful, kind young woman. Thank you for choosing me. I adore you to the moon and back a zillion times. Im sorry you are having this particular birthday during these circumstances, but as always with you, you find the best in everything.
Apple moved out of the house to attend college for the fall 2022 semester, and Gwyneth opened up about how hard the transition was for her. It was horrible, she revealed to PEOPLE in Oct. 2020. It was truly horrifying. I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears. However, she said she is getting more and more used to her firstborn being out of the house, especially because Apple is so far loving the experience.
Apple didnt leave home for good, though, and was home for a weekend in October, which Gwyenth called amazing. She added, I see her, but not as much as Id like. Id like to see her every day, but Im so happy for her. Shes doing great.
Moses Martin
Moses was born on April 8, 2006 and is also a spitting image of his A-list parents. Although his older sister Apple has had her fun teasing their mom from time to time, Moses has been a little more supportive, which Gwyneth revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021. Speaking with Ellen, Gwyn noted her child as being proud of his feminist mom for the sex-positive products she sells on Goop even the vibrators. Gwyn also shared with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel during a January 2021 episode of his show that Moses had become quite the skateboarder amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, working on skills and tricks as a form of outdoor exercise.
For Moses 15th, birthday, the proud mom posted a sweet shoutout to him on Instagram that showed both a close-up portrait of the teen and then a picture of him doing a trick on his skateboard. Holy Moses I cant believe you are 15 today, she wrote in the post. You are the dreamiest, sweetest, most brilliant guy ever. I love you so much, you cant fathom it. Happy birthday you little shredder.
In an October 2022 chat with PEOPLE , the Politician actress revealed that her little boy is now taller than him before gushing about both her kids in general. My daughter went to college in the fall, and my son is growing up every minute, she noted. Hes taller than me. But Im very grateful for the transitions. Especially as a mother, Ive really cherished every chapter of their lives.
Speaking about how much she loves being a mom to her two kids, she added, Its funny, I always thought, when they were born I was like, Its never going to be better than this. But then they were 2, and then 5, and every stage Ive been like, This is better than the last. And I feel that way now.
