Israel Adesanya and Joaquin Buckley definitely arent fans of each other.
This past Saturday, Buckley squared off with Adesanyas friend Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC Atlanta. Adesanya was, of course, watching in support of his fellow African King and before the fight started, The Last Stylebender had some harsh words for Buckley.
I hate this n*gga, bro, Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. I dont even use the word hate lightly but I hate this n*gga, bro. Something about him just f*cking annoys me. The coolest thing about him is that kick [Buckleys KO of the Year over Impa Kasanganay in 2020]. I respect that.
Literally, Im just trying to chill, talk. Hey man, weve gotta get this going, duh duh duh duh duh duh, like hes rapping. Every single time. Hes just so f*cking annoying. At one point I literally walked away while he was talking ... and I think he didnt like that, so he went against me since then. But f*ck the dude. Maybe Im a hater, bro. Maybe Im just a hater.
Adesanyas hate was rewarded as Usman won a dominant decision over Buckley, turning in a vintage performance at UFC Atlanta. Despite the loss, Buckley remains in good spirits, and was certainly happy enough to fire back at Adesanya on Monday.
Hate the farmer that took yo belt n*gga not me. #HateTheBoerN*gga. Stand on business bout Africa or China or wherever the f*ck you from bitch.
Buckley began his UFC career at middleweight, where the outspoken New Mansa was always looking to climb the ranks. A few losses derailed those ambitions at 185 pounds, but after dropping to welterweight in 2023, Buckley went on a tear, winning six in a row before losing to Usman on Saturday.
