Football fans across the globe are gearing up for a historic Wednesday, 18 June  2025, as Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid make their debut in the groundbreaking FIFA Club World Cup, a tournament unlike any before it.

This expanded, first-of-its-kind event brings together 32 of the worlds top club teams for a month-long festival of football in the United States, promising drama, spectacle, and unforgettable moments.

This year marks the inaugural edition of the revamped FIFA Club World Cup, featuring a World Cup-style group stage and knockout rounds, with matches played across 12 iconic venues in the USA, including the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey where the final will be played.

After a disappointing season in the Premier League, where Manchester City finished third, their worst league finish under Pep Guardiola since he joined the club in 2016, the Citizens will kick off their Group G campaign against Wydad Casablanca at the Lincoln Financial Field Stadium, Philadelphia. This match, which kicks off at 5:00 PM WAT, will be streamed live on Showmax.

But even before Citys game, Inter Milan will face Monterrey at Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena at 2:00 AM WAT for their Group E opener. Xabi Alonso will kick off his first competitive game as Real Madrid coach when he takes on Al Hilal at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, beginning at 8:00 PM WAT for Group H.

With only the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout rounds, every match is crucial for these European powerhouses. The stakes are high as City, Inter, and Madrid aim to make a statement, avoid early upsets, and chase the ultimate prize of being crowned the best club on the planet.

Dont miss a second of the action as Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid kick off their FIFA Club World Cup journey. Stream every match live on Showmax Premier League mobile, and experience football history as it happens
