Naija News reports that General Musa made this known on Thursday during an interview on Channels Televisions Politics Today programme.
When asked whether he would advise Nigerians to learn combat skills to protect themselves in the face of danger, General Musa said, That one should be taken as learning driving, learning how to swim. Whether we have war or not, it is a survival instinct.

In Europe, swimming is compulsory; [so is] Learning and teaching about security because you have to learn what security is.
Speaking further, the CDS stated that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) should train Nigerian graduates in unarmed combat skills for day-to-day survival against individuals with malicious intentions.
He added that security is the responsibility of all Nigerians, urging citizens to remain situationally aware of their surroundings to identify individuals who appear strange or suspicious.
Meanwhile, General Christopher Musa, has warne d citizens against providing any form of help or support to bandits operating in the country .
The CDS stated that those providing any form of help or assistance to the bandits, either directly or indirectly, are also terrorists and enemies of the state.
He warned that those supplying bandits with fuel, food, or other resources are equally culpable.
Naija News reports General Musa , who made the declaration on Tuesday during an interactive session on government-citizen engagement organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) in Kaduna, vowed that the military would always secure the north and the entire country.
If we find out that you are part of the criminal network by supplying them, you are also a bandit, you are also a terrorist, Musa said.
The CDS warned that the military would deal squarely with those plotting the downfall of Nigeria and ensure peace prevails in troubled areas.
