Nothing like a little spice in your life on a blistering hot day, so to kick off Taste of Edmonton 2025, I decided to turn up the oral heat with some international flair. Nothing burned me to the ground, but a sweet start nonetheless.

A terrific deal for the price especially as ticket prices havent budged in a few years this Pokemon-colourful bowl with coleslaw, pickled onions, basmati rice and moist, delicious chicken can be as hot as you like and would be tough to improve on. The best of six dishes I vacuumed up on Day 1, five more of these wouldve made me feel as cool as the guy in sunglasses on the booths logo.

Headline News

A nice drumstick with spicy gravy on a bed of Jamaican pink rice with tasty beans, the heat crawls up and lingers like a welcome houseguest. The former dinosaur leg I had was a little dry, but overall its a nice serving, where I wanted to lick the cardboard dish. OK, I did lick it, but luckily no one noticed it, this one seagull. Dont remember encountering peas here, mind you&

Chinese Mexifries? In! Better than that, actually, these are probably a two on the ten-point spicy scale, but are a really good dry rub confection. Nice and soft on the inside with a terrific outer crunch, I shared these with the happy staff of Sherlock Holmes, who also got excited about the cute little takeout box. Win win!
