Thumbs up to Windsors inaugural improv comedy festival YESfest opening July 11 and running through July 13 at KordaZoneTheatre.
The weekend of laughter, learning and community will bring experienced improv teachers and rookie performers together for free workshops.
Friday kicks off with The Bucket Show at 8 p.m., an anything-goes improv extravaganza where performers are drawn live from a bucket. Pay-what-you-can tickets at the door.

Linda Kash, aka the Philadelphia cream cheese commercial angel, who has also appeared in Seinfeld episodes and the movies Fargo, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, Cinderella Man, performs Saturday evening.
The Second City veteran is also offering an improv workshop earlier in the day. Spots are limited to first-come, first serve.
James Atin, the musical mind behind hit podcasts, Second City revues and a Windsor Symphony opera, is offering a music for improv workshop for performers looking to explore musicality in their comedy. Free to all registered participants.
Josh Murray, who has graced stages with The Second City, Songbuster and The Musical Puppet Collective, is teaching a tech for improv workshop, sharing insider secrets on lights, sound and tech tricks to elevate live shows.
And Windsor Improv Theatre president Eric Miinch, a graduate of Second City Toronto, will be teaching a dynamic improv workshop designed to push performers out of their comfort zones and into bold, scene-stealing choices.

Saturday evening will showcase local troupes from across Windsor and Essex County at 6 p.m., followed a performance by Windsor Improv Theatre and special guests at 8 p.m.
At 10 p.m., The Late Weird Show, where comedy breaks the rules and things get & delightfully strange, hits the stage.
Sunday is devoted to kids, with family friendly improv workshops and interactive performances just for kids. A free kids workshop will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a showcase at 4:30 p.m.

In addition, there will be a barbecue, refreshments, games and a raffle available all weekend.
